Chief Scoop Officer
(AKA Scoop Shop Manager)

Part-Time Seasonal Position: April – Mid-September 

About the Role -

True Scoops (formerly Super Scoops) is opening a sweet new chapter this spring, and we’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic leader to serve as our Chief Scoop Officer for the 2026 season. We are potentially interested in hiring up to two managers who would collaborate to lead the shop.

This part-time role (approximately 20–25 hours per week) focuses on overseeing daily operations, supporting our team of scoopers, and creating the warm, welcoming experience that will make True Scoops a community favorite. This position is ideal for hospitality professionals, retail supervisors, educators on summer break, retirees, or anyone seeking meaningful, people-focused work during the summer months.

In addition to shop leadership, this role may also include helping with social media, marketing ideas, and brand-building efforts — perfect for someone who enjoys both people and creativity.

Shop Hours: 12pm–9pm daily during peak season (mid June-August). Off peak hours will vary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day shop operations

  • Open/close the store and supervise staff

  • Ensure excellent customer service and food safety

  • Support, train, and motivate a team of scoopers

  • Help maintain a fun, positive work environment

  • Assist with social media content and marketing initiatives

  • Collaborate with ownership on ideas to grow the brand

Qualifications

  • Ideally, management or supervisory experience in food service, retail, or hospitality

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Customer-focused and dependable

  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Available from early April through mid-September

  • Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation & Perks

  • $20–25/hour based on experience

  • End-of-season performance bonus
